The Mazda 3 for 2013

I recently went out of state on business and my employer and I rented a car. She chose the Mazda 3. I did not drive but I still ended up regretting her choice. Passengers are people, too, so here are my thoughts on this 2013 car from Mazda.

Our trip's distance, from point A to point B was about 400 miles. Every moment of riding in that car was bad. I have never been in a car that makes me feel like I need to take a trip to the ladies' room, until I was in the Mazda 3. Both trips, plus the driving around to conduct our business, were unpleasant. There is something about the seats that hit me in the back just so, and results in an unpleasant feeling no matter how recently I had been in a rest area.

Mazda 3's website says it had dual heating for drivers and front seat passengers, but neither of us had this option. Either it's hidden or not standard, as touted in their video. And we never experienced the heated front seats, either.

Another thing I disliked about this car, and my employer also commented on this, is that the speakers, while they might be Bose (and then again, they might not have been - she said she didn't think they were Bose after all!), really suck in their placement. My ankles do not have ears, so I have no idea why these were placed near the floorboards!

It's a nice looking car, but I can't recommend it to anyone I know, and I definitely do not want this vehicle again for use on another road trip. The only good thing about this car was the gas mileage we got out of it. That is the only thing that saved this car from receiving a rating of 1 from me.
